If you thrive on having the piss scared directly out of your body, you’ll probably know that Resident Evil 7 was released today.
After 20 years, Capcom has have decided to veer away from their popular third-person perspective and instead, place your eyeballs straight into the head of Ethan Winters as he deals with a creepy old mansion full of deranged weirdos.
To intensify that already pants-shitting scenario, the PlayStation 4 version of the game will allow you to play in VR, which is almost guaranteed to make your heart explode with fear. Don’t take my word for it, check out some gnarly footage below.

Having tried it out at the EB Games Expo last year, I can confirm that it’s exactly as terrifying as it looks.
Unfortunately, if you were hoping to play this on any other VR headset, you’re fresh outta luck, friend. PlayStation have VR exclusivity for 12 months, so you’ll be stuck with the ordinary TV or PC monitor version until that shit runs its course.
On the other hand, maybe you like to keep your underpants un-shat.
