After years of watching actor, Sean Bean, die in almost every movie or TV show he stars in, upcoming game, Hitman 2, is gonna let you have a go at killing him yourself.
IO Interactive released a video revealing Bean as the first Elusive Target for the second Hitman title where he plays an ex-MI5 agent turned freelance assassin. You can suss out the video for yourself below.
Unlike regular Hitman missions, Elusive Target missions only happen once, so if you fail, you won’t be able to have another go.
“The target cannot be seen on the map or through Instinct Mode, but the briefing gives mediocre clues about their location and antics, which mostly consist of background,” the Hitman wiki reads. “The level can also be modified during the mission to seal off certain areas that are available during normal gameplay, and can also contain extra guards.”
“When a new target is added to the game, players only have a limited time (initially ca. 48 hours, though the norm has since become a whole week) to compete in the mission, or it’ll be lost.”
In other words, you’ll only get one shot at taking out Bean, so you better be bloody good, mate. There’s no word on when you’ll get the chance, but I’d wager it’ll be shortly after Hitman 2’s release on the 13th of November. You’ll be able to pick it up on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
