I hope you’re all holding on to your collective butts, because you’re about to have them blown the heck off.
‘Prometheus‘ might’ve been an unmitigated disaster of a flick in every sense of the word, but the legendary ‘Alien‘ franchise has got big heaps of life still in it.
The rapidly approaching release of ‘Alien: Covenant‘ means the hype machine is starting to tick into overdrive. And as such we now have this brand-spanking-new extended trailer to salivate over.
If you like jump scares and enduring an impending sense of doom for 120-odd minutes, then this movie looks like it’ll be right up your alley.
And if you like the idea of Danny McBride potentially getting munched on by ET, then I suggest rushing out to buy a ticket now.
Flippancy aside, this actually looks totally badass, and the redesigned xenomorph is freakishly terrifying.

The film, which is the second in the prequel series and sixth film in the franchise overall, stars Michael Fassbender, Danny McBride, Katherine Waterston, Billy Crudup, Demián Bichir, James Franco, and Guy Pearce. Once again Ridley Scott steps into the director’s chair, working off a script from Dante Harper and ‘Any Given Sunday,’ ‘Gladiator,’ and ‘The Aviator‘ writer John Logan.
The beast is set to be unleashed on May 19th.
