Yesterday, it was announced that the Federal Cabinet had agreed upon a date and funding for the looming same-sex marriage plebiscite, and you could hear nearly the entire LGBTQIA community and its allies collectively groan.
So, comedian Christian Hull decided that he wanted to go deep into method acting mode to see what it’s like to be inside one of the Liberal‘s party meetings where they figure this shit out.
And HOOOO boy – he went method. He went full method.
Take a gander at Hull‘s LNP counterpart, the very excitable conservative ‘Woo Girl’, Karina.
Her specialty is rehashing old-world ideals that minorities fought tooth and nail to overcome, like segregation or gaining the right the vote, and bringing them back into a public sphere under the guise of ‘creative political problem-solving’.
Her mantra is, ‘a plebiscite is the public’s decision, so the public can’t blame us if they fuck it up’. And she is rolling hard with that.
