Being a bride is FUN. I’ve heard. I am yet to be a bride, but I have plenty of mates who have been and it seems really fun. One of the most fun parts is finding ~the~ dress. But, considering it’s 2019 and fashion brands globally are embracing the variety of body shapes out there, when it comes to bridal it feels like everything’s made for a small-boobed tiny elfin person. Even as someone who isn’t plus size, I’m scared of looking because I have huge boobs and HAVE to wear a bra, and good lord is there a lack of bra-friendly bridal gowns or what.

It can make for an overwhelming and frankly un-fun search, as I’ve seen with some friends of mine who are size 18+. So I thought I’d do some of the hard work for you and found some epic gowns that cater to or are directly made for plus-sized women.
1. Lost In Paris
This brand makes gorgeous, intricate designs that go up to a size XXL.

2. ASOS EDITION
ASOS has bridal! And it’s good! Fast fashion brands have really been edging into the bridal game of late, and if you keep tabs on them it’s likely you’ll spot a design you love. ASOS are experts at curvy clothing as is, so naturally their Edition range features some trend-forward gowns.

3. Fame & Partners
The great thing about Fame & Partners is you can turn pretty much any of their designs into a white, ivory or cream dress (if you’re committed to the traditional stuff), meaning you can pick a style that lets you say, wear a really supportive bra if you’re me.

4. Grace Loves Lace
This brand has some great fashion-forward gowns – they go up to a size 18, although not across all the designs.

5. White Runway
White Runway go up to a size 30 in many of their designs, which is fantastic.

6. David’s Bridal
David’s has a huge range of designers and 15+ pages of plus-size bridal options. These are your traditional styles of wedding gowns, perfect if you dream of being Meghan Markle 2.0.

7. Oleg Cassini
Another traditional-style bridal designer, many Cassini gowns go up to a size 22.
