Cheapos Unite ’Coz MAC Cosmetics Just Permanently Discounted All Yr Fave Products

mac cosmetics price reduction

Christmas has come early because MAC Cosmetics has just announced that they’re permanently slashing the prices on their products.

Yes. You read that right. PERMANENTLY.

From Monday October 14, prices on some of their most popular products will be permanently reduced, according to Finder. Single eyeshadows are dropping from $33 to $29, your single-wand mascara is only going to cost you $39 instead of $42, and most importantly, those cult-fave lipsticks are dropping down to 30 bucks from $36.

I know, $6 off lipstick doesn’t sound like much, but makeup is expensive so I’ll take what I can get.

The makeup giant took to Instagram to share the news today, where they were immediately met with an outpour of support and gratitude.

“You asked and we listened! Gone are the days of listing up your besties when they head overseas with all your make-up must-haves,” MAC Director of Makeup Artistry Nicole Thompson said. “Now you can shop MAC at competitive prices locally and still have change to spare for a cocktail or two!”

MAC has dominated the makeup game for many years, and although there are countless other high-quality brands out there today, the makeup giant still maintains a cult-following.

However, the brand has seen some pretty hefty price hikes in recent years due to exchange rates, shipping and manufacturing costs and taxes. But the brand has listened to customer feedback and they’re officially dropping the prices for good.

Cult-fave products like the Velvet Teddy and Ruby Woo lipsticks will now only set you back $30, which is pretty reasonable when you consider that even a cheapo lippie will cost you $15-20 at most places.

Whether you’re shopping online, in-store or at bigger retailers such as Mecca, Myer or David Jones, you’ll be saving a few bucks on every purchase. The prices are already active across all stockists, so there’s no need to wait for the next sale to stock up on lipstick.

Makeup is expensive and most products rarely go on sale, so a permanent price reduction is always great news.
