LOVER Revisit Past Loves For New Collection “Nocturnal”

For past collections LOVER twosome, Susien Chong and Nic Briand, have found their muse in a handful of intriguing beautiful women of a particular vintage (Stevie Nicks, Mia Farrow, Bianca Jagger, to name a few), and for their Autumn/Winter 2013 collection “Nocturnal” they’ve sought inspiration from the past again.

This time around it is Tony Scott’s 1983 movie The Hunger, an extravagantly stylised erotic-goth subgenre favourite and its gorgeous stars Susan Sarandon, Catherine Deneuve and David Bowie, that have informed a collection emitting classic femininity with a darker underside.

Montana Cox pouts demurely in the tight edit of looks that includes cool Eighties-inspired pleated trousers, deliciously prim leather tea dresses, and several lace looks repeated from past LOVER collections, including the ‘Christina’ dress, the ‘Plume’ dress and the ‘Horizon’ in black. They’re all back by popular demand, something the LOVERs have gotten used to with their demanding and ever growing fan base.
