Ksubi Is Big In Japan

For the Manga enthusiasts, sushi lovers, Comme Des Garcons wearers, Yayoi Kusama fans and Japanophiles among us Big In Japan offers an irreverent take on the land of the rising sun’s architecture, music, magnetic art, cinema, robotics, haute couture floristry, photography, abandoned theme parks and anime.

The blog was started as a cultural exchange programme established by the ksubi collective and iconic Japanese beer brand Kirin. As a result Big In Japan documents all the country’s cultural quirkiness and will have you thinking man Japan is crazy, man Japan is rad or man Japan is crazy rad!

Coinciding with the online initiative, the first in a series of ksubi-curated Big In Japan events will take place this Spring in Sydney, and it promises to be a debaucherous celebration of emerging Japanese and Australian DJ’s, experimental musicians, performers and installation artists, some of whom will be brought out from Japan specially for the event.
