Kevin Rudd has resigned as Foreign Minister. He announced the bombshell at a televised press conference from Washington DC, citing the ongoing tension surrounding the Labor Party leadership as his reason for stepping down.
Sky News Business reporter, Ky Chow, live tweeted Kevin’s statement: “It’s a “soap opera” and “I won’t be part of it”, he said. “No way will I ever be party to a stealth attack on a sitting PM. We all know when that happened it was wrong,and should not happen again.”
“The simple truth is that I cannot continue to serve as foreign minister if I do not have Prime Minister Gillard’s support,” he said.
Based on this statement we can confidently predict a 90% likelihood that Kevin Rudd wants his mummy and/or needs his blanky.
