It’s fair to say that most things the Kardashians own are better than anything we have or ever will have, but what really rustles our jimmies is the enormity of their dwellings, especially when they’re shoved in our faces via detailed interviews. Chalk it up to outrageous housing prices and the fact we pay top dollar to live in shoeboxes, okay.
The latest from the fam is insight into Kendall Jenner‘s ‘glam room’. Yes, much like Melania Trump, Kendall J is down with having a dedicated room to do her hair and makeup, and while we’d never judge someone for that (we’re jealous tbh), it does get a lil’ gear-grinding when you hear it’s bigger than your own bedroom.
The voyeuristic peek (sans pics, sadly) comes from LA based interior designer Martyn Lawrence Bullard, who’s responsible for most of the Kardashian’s glam rooms. Yes, there is an interior designer out there who specialises in glam rooms. Kenny’s glam space isn’t just an IKEA table, either.
“We have an amazing ’70s crystal chandelier in the center of the room,” says Bullard. “It’s monochrome, black, and white. We make sure every possible thing you can want is within arm’s reach. There’s a refrigerator filled with really chilled water, special makeup, special creams so they maintain their pH balance.”
Oh and, y’know, there’s a TV in there. Casual.
“There’s a beautiful counter that’s kind of high, about 42 inches. There’s a customised chair created for [her] height. You need a TV because sometimes glam can take two hours and it gets boring,” says Bullard.
Bullard goes on to play down the whole thing by insanely suggesting the room isn’t huge or anything. Just a chill bedroom size. Nothing crazy.
“[Kendall’s is] not that big, actually. It’s the size of a normal person’s bedroom,” he says. “It’s not huge. You don’t need a lot of space.”
