Jonathan Zawada x It’s Nice That For ASOS & Sixpack France

It’s nice that Jonathan Zawada has teamed up with cult mag It’s Nice That and e-tailer giant ASOS as one of five artists called upon to create bespoke print designs for one of this season’s key pieces and the now official uniform of the gallery hopping set: the Hawaiian shirt.

As we’ve come to expect from JZ, this isn’t your average RTSW (Ready Tom Selleck Wear) aloha rag, eschewing pineapples and leis in favour of screws and Escheresque stair motifs. In other words, BYO pina collada. Other contributing artists include Michael Willis from the UK, and Brooklyn’s Hisham Bharoocha, Mario Hugo and Mike Perry.

If you can’t spring for a $900+ Zawada tent or a pouting Michael Pitt endorsed $560 Prada Hawaiian shirt, this could be as close as you come to covering yourself in your own piece of throwback, forward-looking, graphic technicolor fractal goodness. Aloha here.

Zawada has also teamed up with Medicom Toy’s Fabrick collection to produce a tricolour offering of canvas bags, wallets and pillows in red, white and blue (and shades of grey). The collaboration is available at Sixpack France.
