All the famous people are currently preparing to converge on The Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles for today’s Golden Globes, hosted by our good friends, Andy Samberg and Sandra Oh.

Because they are famous people living in the year 2019, every minor moment in the lead-up to the ceremony must be posted on social media. This means their prep/their routines/their excitement are all available for you to leer at online, while you sit back at your desk for the first time after Christmas break feeling weirdly disoriented.

Here’s some of what those celebs are up to.

Mark Ronson is playing acoustic guitar/smouldering, because of course he is. He’s also singing along in his navy tuxe with producer Anthony Rossomando (the pair co-wrote, with Lady Gaga and Andrew Wyatt, ‘Shallow‘ from A Star Is Born).

Our very own Troye Sivan is precious and suited up in Calvin Klein, and also probably nervous as hell because he’s up for Best Original Song against Rossomando, Thom Yorke and Kendrick Lamar.

Here’s The Good Place‘s Jameela Jamil showing of her jeans under pink tulle look. It’s STRONG. The show’s up for Best TV Musical or Comedy.

Her co-star Kristen Bell, up for Best Actress in a TV Musical or Comedy posted a shot of herself – featuring hubby Dax Shepard – scrutinising her room service ahead of the ceremony. Really loving the comfy robe vibes.

She’s also posted a series of Stories of her, Shepard and another couple playing with a 6000 Lumens spotlight, because hey, it’s a sleepover party!!! There’s also shots and videos of her and bae getting all glammed up which seems bloody exhausting – putting her hand in a bucket of icy water to get her rings on, attaching spanx to her dress, it’s all happening here.

Here’s Charlize Theron bragging about getting caviar from Connie Britton, and maybe expecting sympathy for stilettos? Or just showing off how fabby they are. She’s up for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy movie for Tully.

The voice of Lois in Family Guy, Alex Borstein – she’s up for Best Supporting Actress in TV for The Marvellous Mrs Maisel – also happily let us all behind the curtain.

How come Thandie Newton – up for Best Supporting Actress on TV for Westworld – looks this good while she’s getting her make-up done? And yes, we unashamedly enjoy all these limo selfies.

We are here for Terry Crews and his wee bow tie, turning up to support his good friend Samberg. Celebrities taking awkwardly positioned selfies is a true Monday joy.

Let’s wrap this up with something precious and local. Sydney‘s Yvonne Strahovski, nominated for Best Supporting Actress on TV for The Handmaid’s Tale, cradling bub in front of her fancy-ass LA view.

Good luck everyoneeeeeee – but especially to Sivan, Strahovski and Nicole Kidman.
