Glossier Now Have A Mascara, So Beg Your USA-Travelling Mates To Bring It Home

Once again, we’re all crying into our pillows over the fact that USA based brand Glossier, created by Into The Gloss founder Emily Weiss, is not available in Australia (yet). This time, it’s because they’ve released what is bound to be the greatest mascara ever, Lash Slick.

Glossier has a rep for creating beauty products that completely dominate the market, thanks to loads and loads of research and testing that’s put into them. I for one am a die-hard fan of their first fragrance, Glossier You – so much so that I begged my mate Jenna to visit their NYC shop and bring a new bottle home for me.

That’s what you should (probably) do for their first mascara, Lash Slick. It launched this week in the States, and the tag line is “extensions without the extensions”, so yes – this baby sounds GOOD.

It took the brand 248 formulations to land on the one they’ve produced, and they’re claiming 94% of people said Lash Slick doesn’t flake, 91% of people said it doesn’t smudge and 91% of people said it lasts all day. All things you want your mascara to do, tbh.

Glossier Lash Slick, $21.45

Teeny-tiny fibers coat lashes from root to tip to create a lengthened baby-extension, while flexible film-forming polymers lift and lock each fiber into place. And it’s water-resistant (not waterproof), so Lash Slick washes off easy with warm water at the end of your day.

The mascara uses ‘Japanese Fiber Technology’, which apparently involves small curved fibers in the formulation that hook onto lashes, adding length. There’s also vegan biotin in there for conditioning and strengthening. Oh, and it’s cruelty free, paraben free, fragrance free, hypoallergenic, allergy tested, dermatologist tested, ophthalmologist tested, suitable for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers AAAAND non-irritating. Ooft.

Sign us the fuck up, fam. I for one will be begging my mates travelling to the States this year to pick me up one (read: four).
