For Tomorrow, Australia’s premiere blog for sartorially discerning gentlemen points us in the direction of “Elegantly Wasted” the AW/09 collection of Sydney based design duo Fortunes Fool. We have to say, unless there’s a hidden VB stubbie in the lookbook we’re seeing a whole lot of elegant but not a whole lot of wasted. This of course is a good thing.
The collection adheres strictly to a muted colour palette and offers a range of chunky knits, utilitarian military jackets, scarves, directional tees and super clean hoodys. But despite how tempting those pieces sound we have a feeling the wide-lapeled number above will be the most highly coveted of the lot. It’s reassuring to see such ambitious character-driven menswear from our own backyard.
