Fast And Furious Star Paul Walker Killed In Car Crash Aged 40

Reports have emerged this afternoon that actor Paul Walker has died in a car accident. Walker, as a passenger in a yet to be identified friend’s car, was killed in a crash – the details of which remain unconfirmed.

The 40 year old became successful after his appearance in Varsity Blues, but was best known for playing Brian O’Connor in the immensely successful Fast and Furious franchise, in which he has starred in five of the six films, and was due to star in the franchise’s upcoming seventh film which has already begun filming.

Posting on Paul Walker’s official facebook page, the actor’s team expressed their shock and sadness of the accident, “It is with a truly heavy heart that we must confirm that Paul Walker passed away today in a tragic car accident while attending a charity event for his organization Reach Out Worldwide. He was a passenger in a friend’s car, in which both lost their lives. We appreciate your patience as we too are stunned and saddened beyond belief by this news. Thank you for keeping his family and friends in your prayers during this very difficult time. We will do our best to keep you apprised on where to send condolences. – #TeamPW”

NBC news reporter Kate Larsen wrote on twitter and posted the following photo of the alleged crash site, claiming the car was a “fiery wreck”.
