Fashion Peeps Stuck In A Lift At MBFWA Survive On Selfies Alone For 40 Mins

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia took a dramatic turn today, after a bunch of showgoers became trapped in a boiling hot lift for 40 minutes.
A handful of fashion peeps were leaving the Christopher Esber presentation at One Hot Yoga studio in Sydney’s Potts Point when the lift malfunctioned, trapping them between floors.
Among those stranded were Grazia’s Entertainment Editor Nicholas Carolan and TODAY show presenter Richard Wilkins‘ son Christian who, as would anyone when faced with their own mortality, eased his anxiety by Snapchatting and selfie-ing up a storm as others called out for help.
PEDESTRIAN.TV was at the showing, and the likes of Margaret Zhang, Eleanor Pendleton, Lindy Klim and designer Toni Maticevski were milling around waiting for the lift when there was a loud bang.
A dramatic pause followed, after which those trapped inside started banging on the door with the force of an after-grog bog while a siren started blaring.
Everyone else bailed down the emergency stairs, while staff called in experts to help free the IRL fashion victims.

As well as taking selfies, Christian and co. passed the time by selecting the soundtrack to their captivity: Beyoncé’s Lemonade.
Help arrived some 40 minutes later, when a dude with a wrench prised the door open, sent the lift back down to ground and set them all free.
THANK GOD EVERYONE IS OK STAY CHIC FOR EACH OTHER AS YA’LL RECOVER.
