Celeste Barber Is Walking The Runway At VAMFF & Honestly, Just Make Her The Entire Show

Celeste Barber / VAMFF

Celeste Barber, the one and only, will walk her very first runway this year at the Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival (VAMFF). This isn’t the first time Barber’s dabbled in the art of the runway before, but more on that later.

Aside from blessing the catwalk with her presence, Barber will also appear as a guest speaker at the Australian Fashion Summit in March, to chat about Who Really Has Influence Today, as well as – I assume – her incredible efforts in fundraising millions for bushfire relief. She’ll be joined by Australian Fashion Summit host, Glynis Traill-Nash.

“I’m pumped to be a part of VAMFF this year,” Barber said. “For many years VAMFF has ensured a rich diversity in shape, ethnicity, and age on the runway and I’m excited to be a part of this. I’m looking forward to speaking at the Australian Fashion Summit to pass on my deep knowledge of style, sophistication, and the secrets behind hiding my muffin top.”

Bless her.

Barber will walk in Runway 3 at VAMFF on Thursday, 12 March at 7.00pm. The showcase will feature a whole slew of Aussie designers including Aje, Ginger & Smart, Jason Grech, Manning Cartell, Matin, Rachel Gilbert, Rebecca Vallance, SIR, and Viktoria + Woods.

She’ll then appear as guest speaker on the following day, Friday, 13 March, during the third session.

For all your ticketing / sussing needs, visit the VAMFF website.

The team at VAMFF will also be donating $50 from every Australian Fashion Summit ticket towards the Victorian Bushfire Appeal. You can buy your tickets to the summit right HERE.

If you want to see Barber’s reaction to being a special guest at VAMFF, I absolutely recommend hitting up her Instagram story before it expires.

All of this fabulous news aside, here’s a very good throwback to Barber at a rehearsal for a Tom Ford show at New York Fashion Week. It still makes me laugh so hard.
