It is happening again – the annual ski and snow gear sale at ALDI is on this weekend, if you’re ready to do battle with thrifty shoppers to stock up on winter warmers.
A sale that’s truly the test of your patience, strength, and savvy shopping know-how, the annual release of cheap-as-fuck snow gear is kicking off bright and early on Saturday, May 22. Just in time for the return to the slopes after a big year at home and not ~shredding the gnar~ on a fresh dusting of powder.
ALDI is serving a whole heap of toasty attire, and bits and bobs for the snow season, including shell jackets and pants for skiing and snowboarding, waterproofed thermoboots, fleece jumpers, thermal underwear, gloves, goggles, helmets, and balaclavas.
Literally just about everything you need for a day out in the chilly conditions, carving down the side of a mountain before peeling just about everything off for the best pay of a snow day – après-ski beer o’clock.
The biggest thing you need to know about the annual ALDI snow gear sale is that it’s probably the store’s biggest sale of the calendar year. It’s on once a year, and it’s nearly guaranteed to sell out. I’ve absolutely seen people lining up from dawn to be some of the first to get into the sales.
It’s like ALDI’s version of Boxing Day sales – it can get chaotic pretty quick, especially considering pretty much everything is actually cheaper than hiring it out for the day when you’re at the snow.
So if you’re ready to go toe to toe with Debbie who’s trying to snatch the last lot of Cabin Cozies, then get yourself down to your local participating ALDI before they fling the doors open at 8.30am.
