College sports are a big deal in the US. If you can get yourself a scholarship, it can be a fast track to the big time. Worst case scenario, you’ll go to heaps of parties, chug heaps of beer, and get a free education. No wonder competition for spots is fierce. If you want to catch a college scout’s eye, you’ll want to come up with some big plays and hope someone brought their camera.
DO
Chance your hand in game-simulated activities. Fail and you might look like an ass in front of your teammates but your dignity is the only thing you stand to lose. Pull it off and you’re on your way to internet stardom, just like this kid.
DON’T
Attempt to soup up game day scenarios by performing them against a car driven by your unlicensed younger brother. Succeed and scouts are going to take a pass anyway, on account of you being batshit-crazy. Fail and… well this guy won’t be fronting up at college trials any time soon thanks to the compound fractures in both his legs and significant head injuries.
