St Kilda Snuck A Kardashian Gag Onto Their Banner & It Was The Kanye Best

You wouldn’t think that an AFL game would be the source of a cracking pop culture joke, and yet here we are. It’s a bold new world, folks.
Ever since the Western Bulldogs pulled the ingenious move of hiring comedian Danny McGinlay to write the club’s banners each week, the art of sticky-taping letters onto crepe paper has become an arms race.
The Dogs are, obviously, still the league leaders in this regard; McGinlay’s balance of sharp wit and good-natured shitstirring has no rivals. But others are trying.
Some, like Carltonhave swung for the fences and whiffed in incredible fashion. Then there’s others, like St Kilda, who have managed to pull off remarkable content.
Last night the Saints took on North Melbourne at Etihad Stadium in their Round 13 clash. As the Saints prepared to run onto the ground, their cheer squad hoisted the banner which sported this absolutely cracking effort:

SAINT OR NORTH?
IT’S A MASSIVE GAME
THE BATTLE FOR THE BEST
KARDASHIAN BABY NAME

That is just…
It didn’t hurt the Saints on-field fortunes, either. The south-of-the-river boys ran out 89-72 winners over the Arden St nutjobs.
Just because you’ve got a pile of references doesn’t mean you have to take the one off the top, folks.
