Serena Williams Sings ‘I Touch Myself’ Topless For Breast Cancer Awareness

In an effort to raise awareness for breast cancer, tennis legend Serena Williams has revealed a whole new talent, with the 23-time Grand Slam winner stripping down to sing a rendition of the Divinyls‘ classic song ‘I Touch Myself‘ on Instagram.

Williams says that she recorded the song as a reminded to women to perform regular self-checks.  “Yes, this put me out of my comfort zone, but I wanted to do it because it’s an issue that affects all women of all colors, all around the world,” she said.

“Early detection is key – it saves so many lives. I just hope this helps to remind women of that.”

She went on to say that she recorded her video as part of the ‘I Touch Myself Project’, created in memory of Australia’s own Chrissy Amphlett, the lead singer of Divinyls, who passed away from breast cancer in 2013, at the age of 53.

Give it a listen below:

In the wake of her now-infamous clash with a US Open umpire several weeks ago, Serena Williams told Australia’s Network Ten that she wants to “move on” from the incident, saying hat she is “trying to most to recover from that and move on.”
