Ronda Rousey hasn’t stepped foot in a UFC octagon since her loss to Amanda Nunes at UFC 207 last December, a loss that – at the time – had many questioning whether or not Rousey would be able to return to mixed martial arts at all.
And while the in-ring question of what’s next for Ronda Rousey remains a place (save for a recent ringside appearance at the WWE’s currently on-going Mae Young Classic tournament in support of fellow Four Horsewoman Shayna Baszler) on a personal level it seems Rousey’s next big step is to suplex some wedding vows.
While the rest of the combat sports world was caught up in the Mayweather/McGregor-mania this past Saturday, Rousey was off in Hawaii marrying her longtime partner and fellow UFC fighter Travis Browne.
The duo got engaged during a trip to New Zealand back in April and in terms of not mucking around to get married, it’s not quite “finishing Cat Zingano in 14 seconds with an armbar” territory, but it’s sure as hell not far off.
Photos on Instagram – all with the delightfully wonderful couple name Browsey – have begun surfacing from guests at the private wedding in Browne’s Pacific home state.

Brief aside: Eagle-eyed wrestling nerds among you will definitely recognise former Ring of Honor World Champion and current NXT superstar Roderick Strong up there in the ranks of Browne’s groomsman. Roddy’s long-term partner, Marina Shafir, is a fellow MMA fighter and also a member of Rousey’s feared Four Horsewomen group.
Rousey’s next career moves might still be up in the air (SIGN WITH THE WWE, RONDA), but for now a well-earned honeymoon is almost definitely on the cards.
