Apparently, the only kind of green that Novak Djokovic likes is a grass court.
Earlier today, during the semi-final round of the ATP Monteral Masters, the world number one complained about a certain distinctive smell emanating from the stands, saying it was throwing him off his game.
“Someone is smoking weed, I can smell it, I’m getting dizzy,” he told the chair umpire, who tried not not to crack up in response, and failed pretty conclusively. SRSLY, we could watch this guy umpire tennis all day. Observe:
The source of the mysterious smell was not found, and play continued with Djokovic claiming victory over France’s Jeremy Chardy. He is due to face either Andy Murray or Kei Nishikori in the finals, pending the outcome of their match.
