Mitch Pearce Gives 1st Sit-Down Interview, Says He Won’t Be Drinking Again

Since disgracing himself in a viral video of him drunkenly pretending to have sex with a dog (and forcefully kissing a woman without her consent) NRL player Mitchell Pearce has been rehabilitating out of the spotlight.

He spent four weeks at a clinic in Thailand without any communication back to friends in Australiareturning this morning to a media frenzy (and hugs from Mum).
Tonight, he sat down with Fox Sports’ chief NRL reporter James Hooper on new show NRL Tonight for his first proper sit-down interview
Pearce fought back tears as he spoke of embarrassing himself and his family, saying that he watched the footage of his drunken actions for the first time with his mother, which made him “feel sick”.
He also opened up to the ABC and Channel 7, revealing that he’s gone teetotal.
“At this present moment, I’m a non-drinker and that’ll be the way I’ll be living my life,” he said.
We can’t help but notice that at no point in these interviews does Pearce mention the people in the video who he negatively affected, particularly the woman whose head he grabbed and forced into kissing him
