Metta World Peace wants to change his name again.
After being banished waived by former NBA team the New York Knicks, the Artest formerly known as Ron was picked up by the Sichuan Blue Whales of the Chinese Basketball Association and has decided to change his name accordingly.
The guy responsible for instigating the most heinous thing to have ever happened on a basketball court has decided to change his name to something more geographically appropriate, as China Daily reports: “New high-profile import playing for Chinese basketball Association club Sichuan Blue Whales is known as Ron Artest but intends to change his name to “Panda Friend” in honor of his move to China.”
