Italian Soccer Teams Walk Off The Field To Protest Against Racism

Italian powerhouse teams AC Milan and Pro Patria made a defiant stand against racism yesterday when they walked off field mid-match to protest against the heckling of player Kevin-Prince Boateng, who is of African descent.

Both teams eventually walked off the pitch after than Ghana-born Boateng stopped mid-match and tore off his jersey in response to the racist taunts of fans in the stands. The video has had nearly half a million hits in just under a day. The footage is from Italian TV, but you can see Boateng flanked by his AC Milan teammates, and eventually his opposition as well, in what will undoubtedly be a movie moment in years to come.
