IT BEGINS: NSW Supporter Kicked Off Brisbane Train For Wearing Blues Jersey

First, let me just say: this is a rude, heinous, completely unprofessional thing to do to a man, and absolutely unacceptable. At the same time let me also say: lol, extremely lol.

Chris Chambers, originally from Sydney, but a Queenslander of some 20 years, was trying to board the Nambour express from Albion Station at 8:30 this morning when the conductor told him he couldn’t stay on board wearing his Blues jersey.
Not wanting to piss anyone off, Chambers acquiesced and had to wait a full damn hour for the next train (Albion is the absolute worst), he sure as fuck wasn’t happy about it though.
Full disclosure, as a Queenslander I find these comments highly offensive, but also one time I had a bunch of Broncos supporters not let me get off a train because I was wearing a Cowboys jersey, so, uh, he might have a point.
TransLink have said they’re going to check out the CCTV footage and confirm his story, while Queensland Rail have said they’re committed to letting anyone on the train, regardless of jersey colour:
“Here at Queensland Rail, we love our Mighty Maroons. If you’re wearing your blues today and get caught in friendly Canetoad vs Cockroach banter, it’s all good sport and we’re still here to serve.

“Maroon is our favourite colour but it isn’t compulsory for travel. Stay on the train.”
