A harmless stunt for charity on The Footy Show took a fairly heinous turn last night, as retired NRL star Ben Ross suffered a broken humerus during a live arm wrestle with former Maroons star Wendell Sailor.
Staged to raise money for the Men of League charity on the show last night, the arm wrestle between Ross and Sailor prompted a hasty switch to an ad break, after Ross’ right arm snapped—the sound is truly something—and hosts called for medical assistance.
Live TV. Can’t make this shit up.
After being transported to hospital via ambulance, The Footy Show later confirmed Ross had broken his humerus.
UPDATE ON BEN ROSS: An X-ray on Ben has confirmed a broken humerus. (1/3)
