If you answered “yes” to any of the above questions, you are most likely a fuckboi and I’ve got some news that might make you reconsider your life choices.
A recent study suggests people with higher altruistic tendencies get buckwild more often that your garden-variety asshole.
That’s right, the nicer you are, the more likely it is that you’ll get laid.
The study involved 192 women and 105 men who answered a survey about their altruistic habits, including how often they donated to charity, gave blood and offered sugar to thy neighbour. They also reported on how often they do the nasty.
Researchers found that those who scored higher on the altruism test also had a higher amount of rodeo partners. Coinkidink? I think not.
“Several researchers have suggested that altruism is a costly signal of desirable qualities, such that it could have evolved by sexual selection,” the study’s abstract reads.
It doesn’t take a psychology student to realise this study probably isn’t the most reliable (self-reporting on sexual partners and charitable deeds is a sure invitation for inflation) but if anything, it’s a nice little reminder to not be a dickhead.
