It’s a problem we all know too well, but as far as I was concerned, the only real way to get those annoying stickers off was by destroying your manicure or by soaking the item in water (which usually means it doesn’t look as nice when you give it to your loved ones.
But thankfully, TikTok user Lexie Byers has answered our prayers by sharing her mum’s handy hint for removing those tags and hoo boy, how the hell did I not think of this?
“I have a life hack that’s going to blow your mind. My mum taught me this, mum’s know everything,” she said in the video.
The hack is stupidly simple, which will make you wonder why the fuck you never thought of it yourself.
Basically, the trick is “waxing” the stickers off using a piece of sticky tape. Simple, yet effective.

“Grab some sticky tape and put half of it onto the tag and rub it so it’s really on there,” she explained in the video.
“Make sure to leave a little bit of a tail, then you wax it off.”
The video has already amassed over 1.4 million likes in just a matter of days, proving that everyone still loves a good lifehack on the ol’ TikTok.
Unfortunately, TikTok users were quick to point out that the hack only works for plastic stickers and not the super pesky paper ones that make you contemplate going full-Grinch and yeeting off to a mountain somewhere to ignore the festive season for good.
