WATCH: Seann William Scott Punches On In The Bruising New ‘Goon 2’ Trailer

Though it did sweet fuck all in terms of actual revenue, 2012’s ‘Goon‘ turned into a bonafide cult hit and an exceptionally solid sports flick.
The ice hockey-themed film centred around a remarkably nuanced (y’know, by his standards) effort from Seann William Scott as the well-meaning – if not thick-as-pig-shit – enforcer Doug “The Thug” Glatt.
The sequel, ‘Goon: Last of the Enforcers‘, is now finally approaching worldwide release and in preparation we’ve got ourselves a bloody bruiser of a new trailer, ay?
Doug The Thug returns this time around, balancing a new family life with an injury that threatens to derail his entire career as a minor league hockey hitman.
Alongside Seann William Scott, Alison Pill, Liev Schreiber, Jay Baruchel, Eugene Levy, and Marc-André Grondin all return to the cast, alongside newcomers like T.J. Miller, Elisha Cuthbert, and ‘22 Jump Street‘ breakout star Wyatt Russell.

Jay Baruchel wrote and directed this latest effort, which was released in theatres across Canada (obviously) back in March, but is now scheduled for a global release on September 7th.
Time to drop the gloves, folks. It’s go time.
