WATCH: Obsolete Industries Say Fuck No To Govt Plan To Subsidise Taxis

A new satirical video produced by the Australian Taxpayer’s Alliance has perfectly summed up the wide-spread criticism of the NSW Government‘s proposed plans to subsidise the taxi industry for being unable to keep up with a changing marketplace, a.k.a. Uber.

In it, people out-of-work peeps like pretend maids, pretend farriers, and pretend-person-who-cleaned-literal-shit-off-the-streets harass taxpayers with cries of “progress is taking our jobs”, asking them to support their demands to the NSW Government to support ALL obsolete industries, not just those who have the good fortune of being made redundant in the here and now.

Think of the Walkman manufacturers. The town criers. The poor members of the ice-box industry who are now out-of-work thanks to refrigerators and freezers. It is an absolute disgrace, we tell you.
