WATCH: Melbourne ‘Fisherman’ Ruthlessly Trolls P-Plater Stuck In Floodwater

Melbourne is more or less underwater at this present moment, thanks to a severe storm system that hit the city earlier this afternoon. The downpours have dampened damn near everything in the south-east of the city, but damnit, they haven’t dampened one bant-master’s spirits.

Nine News Melbourne caught the moment one unfortunate driver decided to take his chances clearing the floodwaters pooled under the York Street underpass, nestled in South Melbourne.

As the P-Plater’s vehicle quickly became trapped in the (un)surprisingly-deep waters, the camera crew managed to film one other punter’s schadenfreude-y reaction:

Worth noting: that underpass is mere minutes away from the infamous Montague Street bridge, cementing South Melbourne’s claim as the Australian suburb with the most easy to avoid overpasses / traffic hazards.
As always, don’t drive through floodwaters. Luckily, the cops in the background quickly rolled around afterwards to help ol’ mate out, but it’s still best if you take a detour.

After all, you don’t want some fella with a fishing rod sending you up, do you?
