Look, when Karl Stefanovic isn’t being Australia’s most loveable buffoon, he does occasionally use the morning show format to do some good. Today it was a serious (read: no extremely hot pie eating) aside in which he called out Peter Dutton for his comments about ‘illiterate’ migrants coming to steal Aussie jobs.
That contradicts the findings of Dutton’s own department, Stefanovic argued, as well as the experiences of anybody who is or knows migrants and refugees who come from non-English speaking backgrounds.

“It’s cliche, but what Peter Dutton did yesterday was un-Australian.” Karlos reckons that Dutton should apologise, but that the damage is done and there’s no bouncing back from that kind of sentiment.
You heard the man, Dutton. Apologise and resign.
