Watch Half Of Key & Peele Act As Obama’s “Anger Translator” At Annual White House Dinner

The annual White House Correspondents’ Association dinner has just been held in Washington DC – an event which gathers political reporters, journalists and celebrities under the same roof for one shebang.

During the President’s address at the dinner, Barack Obama began by saying, “I often joke about tensions between me and the press, but honestly, what they say doesn’t bother me…I’m a mellow sort of guy. And that’s why I invited Luther, my anger translator, to join me here tonight.”

Half of legendary duo Key & Peele, Keegan-Michael Key, went on to translate the underlying layer of seething fury of Obama’s calm rhetoric, before a dramatic finish:

What may have upstaged that precious morsel, however, was SNL’s Cecily Strong‘s speech, extensively addressing the pitfalls of the media, race relations in America and asked the room full of journalists to make a pledge for their upcoming onslaught of Hillary Clinton coverage:

“I solemnly swear not to talk about Hillary’s appearance because that is not journalism,” Strong said.

KILLING. IT.
