WA Coppers Slap Speeding Driver W/ $800 Fine For “Just Being A Dick”

There are scant few reasons for speeding at 37km/h over the limit, and even fewer that will get you out of a hefty fine. “Just being a dick” is not one of them. Not at all. 

Mundijong Police, who keep the peace in the south eastern ‘burbs of Perth, made this point pretty goddamn clear yesterday when they slapped a driver with an $800 fine.

The corresponding ticket reveals the Holden driver’s honest-but-misguided response wasn’t enough to dodge the triple-digit infringement.

It appears the Mundijong Traffic Enforcement Group have been busy over there, too: shortly after, they posted about another speeding driver, who was also found to be under the influence.

Dick-tickets aside, it makes sense they’d be keen to ensure driver safety over there. There have been several fatalities on Karnup Road in recent years, so cutesy excuses probs won’t cut it.

At least some driver’s excuse brought a lil’ attention to the issue, hey?
