NSW Cops Investigating After 8 Y.O. Girl Indecently Assaulted By Intruder

NSW Police have released CCTV footage in an attempt to find a man they allege indecently assaulted a young girl in her bedroom on Monday night.

According to police, the eight-year-old girl was asleep in her bed in the Sydney suburb of Kingsford when a man climbed through her window between 2:45am to 2:55am. CCTV footage shows a man crawling into the window, then exiting minutes later.

The man briefly spoke to the girl before indecently assaulting her and leaving the room. The girl was not physically hurt or injured, but both her and her family are described as  “extremely distressed” by the incident.

NSW Police superintendent Karen McCarthy described it as a “rare but obviously serious incident”.

The family are extremely distressed and we are working with the family to ensure that they are well supported and the welfare and of our young victims and the family is of paramount importance.

The perpetrator is described as having an Australian or English accent and being between 170 – 180cm tall. He was wearing a dark hoodie, a hat and cargo pants.
