St Kilda Film Festival Entries Now Open

Do you think you could be the next Soderbergh, Tarantino or German-language Barney Gumble? They all started their prestigious cinematic careers directing shorts and if you’ve made a short film or music video recently it’s time to get your entry in for the 2011 St Kilda Film Festival. You’ve got until 29 January 2011, so start brainstorming for inspiration / recruiting friends to be your cast, art director, storyboard artist, gaffer, costume designer, best boy, etc.

St Kilda Film Festival screens Australian short films in all genres including: drama, comedy, documentary, animation and digital media. In 2011 the competition will screen the top 100 short film entries received with over $40,000 worth of cash and in-kind craft awards to hand out to winners – including a $10,000 prize for Best Short Film. As well as the short film competition, St Kilda Film Festival features the SoundKILDA Music Video Competition. Prizes will be awarded in two categories: Best Music Video and Best Music Video – Animation.
