The Winner Of The Second Batch Film Festival Has Just Been Announced & It’s A Bloody Delight

Second Batch Film Festival

In case you missed it, we recently teamed up with Longbranch to run the Second Batch Film Festival, offering a chance for overlooked short films to get a second shot at greatness.

After watching a ton of great entries, our judges have chosen their winners.

Our talented lineup of judges featured director Gracie Otto, actor and singer Eddie Baroo and actor Brenton Thwaites. Along with their scores, they each shared some insights into their favourite short films, so we’ll have a look at a few of those as well.

Coming in at 3rd place was Michael Irwin‘s Corgi, second place was Megan Broberg‘s Storage, and first place was Jason Perini‘s Caramel.

You can see all three of these short films, along with films from our other seven finalists here on the Second Batch site

If you want a gander at how it went down, be our guest.

Long live short films (especially those that don’t make the cut).
