This Is Not A Drill: You Can Cop A Legit Invite To The Royal Wedding

Um guys, if you happen to be a dual citizen with the United Kingdomnow’s the time to renounce your Aussie one ‘cos 1200 of the general public from all over the country are gonna be invited to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Royal Wedding on May 19.

Holy shitsnacks.

In an effort to be all ‘normal’ and stuff, the power couple wants everybody to feel included hence the invites to 1200 peasants. The lucky people selected will be able to shamelessly gawk at all the royal guests and celebrities invited from the grounds at Windsor castle. Invited guests will also see the carriage procession. So casual.

The official statement from Kensington Palace reads:

“Prince Harry and Ms. Meghan Markle have said they want their Wedding Day to be shaped so as to allow members of the public to feel part of the celebrations too. This wedding, like all weddings, will be a moment of fun and joy that will reflect the characters and values of the Bride and Groom.”

The official press release from Kensington Palace also states Prince Harry and Meghan are ‘looking for people from all backgrounds and ages, including young people who have shown strong leadership skills and those who have served their communities.’

Can they not be so nice and perfect, ffs.

Another 1440 guests from the public have also been invited including:

  • 200 people from a range of charities and organisations which Prince Harry and Meghan are closely associated with
  • 100 pupils from two local schools: The Royal School and St George’s School
  • 610 Windsor Castle Community members, including residents of Windsor Castle and members of the St George’s Chapel Community

No word yet on how the selection process will go for the 1200 people but ugh, lucky shits, whoever they are.

Ngl though, some people are a ‘lil devo the invitation doesn’t extend to the rest of the Commonwealth but oh well, the rest of us peasants can just watch the fairy tale day from the telly.
