Reports Of 20 Wounded As Armed Gunman Takes Hostages In Orlando Nightclub

Local news sources have reported at least 20 people have been shot at the Pulse nightclub, with claims the shooter is also in possession of a bomb. 

The shooter, armed with a rifle, has apparently barricaded himself inside the premises with a group of hostages. 

Pulse posted a status to their Facebook page, alerting patrons to leave the area immediately.

On the same page, patrons have described the ordeal.

Footage has also emerged of the scene outside the venue. 

Orlando Police have confirmed they’re attending to the incident, with the next update scheduled for 4.30am local time.

The incident comes a day after the fatal shooting of singer Christina Grimmie in the same city.
