QLD Police Make Record Cocaine Bust At Dreamworld Car Park

Queensland Police announced overnight that they had made the largest cocaine haul in the state’s history, seizing 70kg of the stuff, a decent chunk of it from the car park at Dreamworld.
Per an Australian Federal Police media release, the bust was a joint effort as part of Operation Cringle, which tracks crime syndicates who ship drugs Australia via yachts and other sea-going vessels.
Prior to the bust, police had received information about a yacht, packed to the gunnels (DYSWIDT?) with the white stuff, en route from South America to The Gold Coast, via Vanautu.
The boat’s Estonian skipper met with a U.K. man when it docked at Coomera on Monday morning, and that night, the pair met with three Australian men in the Dreamworld car park, where they were busted with 40kgs of coke.
A search of the vessel uncovered a further 30kgs, and between them, the men have been charged with various importation and possession offenses. All told, the haul has an estimated street value of $17 million

“I believe it is the largest cocaine seizure we’ve had in Queensland,” said Jon Wacker, Detective Superintendent of No Goddamn Shit at the Queensland Police’s Damn, That’s A Lot Of Blow division.

The AFP have said that the bust will significantly disrupt the supply of horribly stepped-on and shit quality cocaine along the east coast of Australia.
