Taking us all completely by surprise, Prince Harry has asked his brother Prince William to be his best man when he weds Meghan Markle on May 19.
Despite the many spicy rumours of Prince Harry dealing one last rebellious hand and bestowing the honour on his best mate instead, Harry chose his brother. The news was officially announced via the Kensington Palace’s royal twitter account earlier tonight, or this morning for Londoners.

Kensington Palace also sent out a royal bird saying, “The Duke of Cambridge is honoured to have been asked, and is very much looking forward to supporting his brother at St. George’s Chapel, Windsor on May 19th.”
But really though, who else was it going to be? Prince William may have had to give up his FA Cup Final ticket but me thinks grandma AKA the Queen would’ve handed him one heck of a disapproving frown if he didn’t.
Back in 2011, Prince Harry was Prince William’s best man. Throwback to when Kate Middleton walked down the aisle, a vision in white and Harry whispered something to William and we all poked lip-readers until they’d tell us what he said.

It’s been busy, busy days for the royal twitter account with fifth-in-line royal baby No. 3 coming into the world earlier this week. His name is yet to be known to the public but all bets now appear to be on Alexander.
Kudos to Prince William, who still attended an ANZAC day service even though he was so clearly exhausted.
