VIC Police Searching For Men After Random Attack In Street

Victoria Police are searching for three men and their victim after a random and unprovoked attack in Frankston on Thursday night.

The victim – a man wearing a grey hooded top, black pants, and runners was approached and assaulted by one of the three males in tradie uniforms outside a business on the Nepean Highway at about 7:45pm on the 26 July.

As captured by the CCTV footage, the perpetrator suddenly attacks the man by hitting him in the face with his elbow. The victim was knocked to the ground and appeared to lose consciousness for a moment before he rose to his feet and walked away.

Another man can be seen smiling after the victim falls to the ground.

Following an appeal from earlier this week, VIC Police have spoken to these men but are still searching for the victim.

He is believed to be aged in his 40s with brown hair and had dentures which were smashed during the altercation.

Police have concerns for his welfare as he may have sustained serious head injuries during the incident.

Nine News reports the men responsible are “remorseless”, treating it like “a big joke”, and have since “gone into hiding”.

No charges have been laid.
