Playing out like some Game of Thrones / Cold War spy thriller shit, a fight broke out in the Broncos locker rooms on Wednesday between a player alleged to be a rat and the player who alleged that the first guy was a rat.
Triple M brekky radio host and former Wallaby Greg Martin says the Broncos had known there’d been a “rat” within their ranks for some time and had cooked up a pretty clever scheme for rooting him out.
The scheme involved disseminating a bunch of different versions of the same story and seeing which ones ended up with the news, which is some shockingly genius intrigue for a bunch of NRL players.
Once the news broke and having (supposedly, allegedly) figured out who the rat was, another player then, so subtly, put a picture of a rat on the (supposed, alleged) rat’s locker.
What followed is being described as a scuffle but, considering they are all huge units, in all likelihood it was probably a bit more intense than that.
