MTV Movie Awards 2015: The Winners + Host Amy Schumer Mackin’ On Amber Rose

‘The Fault in our Stars’ won Movie of the Year. Although author of the book, John Green, started off by saying that he had “nothing to do with the making of the movie”, he still gave a rather emotional acceptance speech, talking about the cancer patient that inspired the book.

“I want to say thank you to my Esther Earl. Esther taught me that a short life can also be a good life,” he said. “That the lives of people who are living with illness or disability are just as interesting and complicated and beautiful and interesting as any other lives. Esther, I love you, I miss you, this is for you. Thank you all so much for supporting ‘The Fault In Our Stars.’”

Shailene Woodley, female lead in the Fault in Our Stars, also won Best Female Performance for the film.

BEST SCARED-AS-SHIT PERFORMANCE – Jennifer Lopez (The Boy Next Door)

BEST SHIRTLESS PERFORMANCE – Zac Efron (Neighbors)

BEST ON-SCREEN TRANSFORMATION – Elizabeth Banks (The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1)

BEST ON-SCREEN DUO – James Franco & Zac Efron (Neighbors)

BEST FIGHT – Dylan O’Brien & Will Poulter (The Maze Runner)

BEST KISS – Ansel Elgort & Shailene Woodley (The Fault in Our Stars)

MTV TRAILBLAZER AWARD – Shailene Woodley

MTV GENERATION AWARD – Robert Downey, Jr.

MTV COMEDIC GENIUS AWARD – Kevin Hart

Oh, and also, host Amy Schumer made out with Amber Rose. Which is kind of an award in itself, in a way.
