More Speakers Added to Carbon

Forums are all about the speakers, and great forums are all about the exclusivity of its speakers. There’s been a lot of pre-Oscars style hype surrounding CARBON – a festival which celebrates that amorphous beast known as street culture and those global creatives who champion it. I.e. they’ve got a lot of fucking amazing talent.

Amidst the bill is Bobby Hundreds, co-founder of clothing label The Hundreds, Miskha founder Greg Riviera, Complex Editor-in-Chief Noah Callahan-Bever, New York based Brisbanite Anthony Lister, Hypebeast blogger Frank Liew, renowned street artist Futura, Acclaim Managing Editor Alex Wieland, Blackmail and Never Now linchpin Tristan Ceddia, skater, artist and photographer Brett Chan and Aussie illustration Queen Beci Orpin.

The discussion forums will examine four pertinent topics: ‘Beyond the Brand’, ‘Building a T-shirt Label’, ‘The Art of Hype’ (media and communication in the digital age) and ‘Craftsmanship & Imagination’. These will run parallel with artistic and photographic demonstrations, along with performance art.

CARBON takes place in Melbourne at Federation Square on April 30.
