Carbon Conference Unveils First Round Of Speakers

Culture conference Carbon made its maiden voyage last year with an impressive panel of speakers including Cassette Playa founder/designer Carri Munden, Bobby Hundreds of clothing label The Hundreds, Miskha founder Greg Riviera, Complex Editor-in-Chief Noah Callahan-Bever, Brisbane artist Anthony Lister, Hypebeast blogger Frank Liew, street art icon Futura, Acclaim Managing Editor Alex Wieland, Blackmail and Never Now linchpin Tristan Ceddia, skater, artist and photographer Brett Chan and Aussie illustration Queen Beci Orpin.

Curated by Acclaim Magazine, the event’s sophomore run looks to be just as rad with a first round of speakers including legendary New York photographer Ricky Powell (that’s his work above), Managing Editor of Hypebeast.com Eugene Kan, South African street artist Faith 47 and San Fran based designer and streetwear label owner Benny Gold.

The conference will feature dedicated forums on the following topics: “Everybody’s a Photographer These Days”, “New Media Takeover”, “Evolution of an Idea” and “Commerce of Creativity”.
