Michael Moore Reveals He Filmed Alleged MAGA Bomber At A 2016 Trump Rally

Documentary filmmaker Michael Moore has revealed he unknowingly captured footage of Cesar Sayoc at a Trump rally in 2016, 20 months before Sayoc allegedly mailed explosive devices to Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and CNN’s New York City headquarters, among others.

Taking to Facebook, Moore said the so-called MAGA Bomber appeared in footage captured during the production of Fahrenheit 11/9. While the raw video from that Florida rally was not used in the final documentary, Moore said he wanted to share it “if only to give you a momentary glimpse of him in action.”

Sayoc can be seen wearing a pro-Trump singlet, and brandishing an anti-CNN sign eerily similar to the imagery found plastered on his van following his arrest.

“You’ll see him two or three times, each for a few seconds, but if you pause on him you will also see something profound,” Moore wrote.

“Underneath his threatening Hulk-like exterior, there is fear in his eyes and, for a quick moment, you can see he is already gone, a lost dog with no direction home.”

Moore added that an image of his own face in crosshairs was found on Sayoc’s vehicle; the Bowling For Columbine director said “Maybe someday I’ll get a chance to sit down with Mr. Sayoc and break bread and ask him “why me?” on his van?”

Sayoc was arrested last Friday after allegedly mailing 14 explosive devices to prominent critics of US President Donald Trump. Along with Clinton, Obama, and CNN headquarters, explosive devices were sent to billionaire Democrat donor George Soros, former Vice President Joe Biden, and noted Trump detractor Robert De Niro.

Nobody was hurt by the devices.

Sayoc has been charged with five federal felonies. If he is found guilty, he could face a prison sentence of up to 48 years.
