Mariah Carey Is Being Accused Of Sexual Harassment By Her Former Manager

Mariah Carey‘s former manager has accused the singer of sexual harassment, TMZ has reported.

As part of a larger intent to sue Carey, Stella Bulochnikov Stolper is alleging that while she was Carey’s manager from 2015-November 2017, the singer was frequently nude in front of her and “acted sexual” in her presence.

Stolper filed a summons in New York this past Friday, TMZ reports, outlining her intention to sue Carey for violating the US Civil Rights Act & Fair Employment & Housing Act.

As she was fired halfway through a three-year contract last November, Stolper is claiming damages and interest. Stolper is also alleging Carey has substance abuse issues, and is not taking her medication for bipolar II, which the star recently acknowledged she has been long diagnosed with.

The act of filing the summons has been read by Carey’s team as an attempt to settle things outside of court. A rep for Carey made a comment to Page Six suggesting that wouldn’t happen, denying all claims.

“If this frivolous and baseless claim is filed, we will defend against it vigorously and successfully,” they said.

Last August, Carey was accused of sexual & verbal assault by her former head of security Michael Anello, though the subsequent lawsuit was later put on hold.

Stolper may be familiar: as Carey’s manager, she starred in Mariah’s reality tv show  “doco-series” Mariah’s World last year. Having previously worked on reality tv shows & docos like Paris Hilton’s My New BFF, Flavour Of Love & Nicki Minaj: My Truth, the critically derided series was her idea.

She also made news for a rocky relationship with Carey, amid repeated reports that she was mismanaging Carey’s career.  Notably, she claimed Carey’s infamous 2016/2017 New Year’s Eve performance was an act of “sabotage“. It’s been rumoured that the split between the two was far from amicable.
